About Us
Nonesuch School is a small, private non-profit located in the hills of Western Sonoma County. Since its inception in 1969 Nonesuch has provided a stimulating and caring environment for students and families seeking an education that encourages intellectual growth and creativity. With small, seminar-style classes, students are encouraged to think, to question, and to become involved in their own education. Through field trips and extracurricular activities, staff and students grow into a strong community.
Much is demanded of a Nonesuch student. In addition to the full curriculum, each student is required to become involved in community service and participate in cultural events. Students are not only expected to participate in student government, they participate in the actual maintenance of the campus. From pushing brooms to swinging hammers, our students learn to take care of the campus, themselves, and each other. Nonesuch School is a community of individuals where the students appreciate each other's strengths and differences. Nonesuch has proven over its thirty years of educating young people that the individual student is the source of the learning.
